Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 26, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Pronora ("Pronora," "we," "us," or "our") accesses, collects, uses, stores, discloses, transfers, retains, and otherwise processes personal information when you use the Pronora mobile application (the "App"), and related products and services (collectively, the "Services").

1. About the Services

Pronora is a mobile application for practicing English pronunciation. The Services allow users to record short voice samples, compare their pronunciation with reference audio, and receive automated pronunciation analysis and feedback. The Services offer or may offer accounts, personalized exercises, subscriptions, communications, translation, and other language-learning features.

This Privacy Policy applies to every Pronora application, website, and service that links to it. The Services are available only to people who are at least 18 years old.

The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, applications, and services. Third-party services have their own privacy and security practices, and their policies govern information they process independently.

2. Information We Process

Account and Social Login Information

An anonymous account identifier may be created when you first use the Services. If you use Google Sign-In, we may receive information authorized by you or made available by Google, such as your name, email address, profile image, Google account identifier, and authentication information.

We do not receive your Google password. Google independently processes information under its own privacy policy.

Voice Recordings and Pronunciation Information

When you start a pronunciation exercise, the App records the short voice sample and transmits it to our servers. We process the recording to analyze your speech and provide feedback.

Voice recordings may constitute personal information when associated with an account or otherwise reasonably linkable to a person. Pronora does not create voiceprints or use voice recordings to establish or verify identity. Pronora does not use voice recordings to uniquely identify individuals or create biometric templates.

Optional Model Training and Dataset Creation

With your consent, we may use your voice recordings to develop, train, test, evaluate, and improve our products and machine-learning models, including our first-party speech-recognition and pronunciation models, and to create de-identified datasets. We ask for this consent when you first sign in. This use is off by default and begins only if you opt in. You may withdraw your consent at any time through the App settings, and the withdrawal will apply to future use of your recordings for these purposes.

Once a dataset has been de-identified so that it is no longer personal information under applicable law, we may use, retain, license, or sell it for any business purpose.

Device, Log, Usage, and Approximate Location Information

Certain information about the devices you use and your use of the Services may be automatically logged, including IP address, device identifiers, and log, usage, and performance data. We may infer your approximate country or location from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Purchase and Subscription Information

If you purchase a subscription or another paid feature, the transaction is processed by the applicable app store or payment provider, such as Google Play. We may receive information needed to validate and manage the purchase, including the product, transaction identifier, purchase date, subscription status, and expiration or renewal status.

Pronora does not directly collect or store your full payment-card number, bank-account number, or card security code. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own privacy policies.

Communications, Surveys, and Marketing Information

If you contact us, request support, participate in a survey, or subscribe to communications, we may process the information you provide.

Analytics Information

We use or may use analytics and performance-monitoring providers to understand use of the Services, diagnose errors, and improve features.

Depending on the provider, feature, consent, and device settings, these providers may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location, usage events, and diagnostic information.

Where required by law, we request consent before using information for non-essential analytics. We do not disclose voice recordings, pronunciation inferences, or model-training datasets to analytics providers.

Artificial Intelligence Features

The Services use or may use artificial intelligence and machine learning to provide pronunciation feedback, translation, personalization, content generation, and related features. Automated results are provided for educational purposes and may contain errors.

We may use third-party AI providers, including Google Cloud AI and other cloud AI providers. Information processed through an AI feature may be transmitted to and processed by the provider supporting that feature.

3. How We Use and Disclose Information

How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

Service Providers and Other Disclosures

We may disclose personal information to service providers that help us operate the Services, including hosting, data storage, account, AI, payment, analytics, marketing, and support providers. We take steps to require service providers processing information on our behalf to act in accordance with our instructions and applicable data-protection requirements.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to prevent fraud or abuse, to enforce or protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the business.

Sale and Sharing

We do not sell personal information that identifies you. We may use or share de-identified or aggregated information that is no longer personal information.

4. Retention, Security, and Deletion

Data Retention

We retain personal information in accordance with our retention practices. When information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it, subject to any retention required or permitted by law.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You should protect your account credentials and devices.

Account and Voice Recording Deletion

You may request account deletion and deletion of voice recordings associated with your account through the App settings, by visiting Delete Your Pronora Account, or by emailing support@pronora.app. When you make such a request, we delete those voice recordings, subject to any retention required by applicable law. Deleting the App from your device does not delete your account.

5. International Transfers

Personal information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the European Union, Serbia, and the United States. The laws of these jurisdictions may differ from those where you live.

Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the use of your personal information. You may also have additional rights under applicable law. To exercise a right, contact us at support@pronora.app. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity.

Subject to applicable conditions and exceptions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information and to receive certain information in a portable format. You may object to direct marketing at any time. You may withdraw your consent for optional model training through the App settings without affecting processing performed before withdrawal. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live, work, or believe a violation occurred.

California Privacy Rights

For California residents, the categories of personal information we may process include identifiers, commercial information, internet or application activity, approximate location, audio information, and inferences from use of the Services.

California residents may have rights to request information about, access, or delete personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. You have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising applicable privacy rights. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law.
